Interview: Yggdrasil 2007

LukeW gives a preview of talks he will give at Yggdrasil 2007 ...

"On October 15-16, I’ll be giving the opening keynote and teaching a half-day workshop at Norway’s premier user experience conference Yggdrasil 2007. As part of the event’s promotion, I responded to a few questions from Henrik Wigestrand about new design considerations for today’s Web and ways to avoid common usability issues.

Part one: In your Yggdrasil keynote, you will be discussing "What behaviors do designers need to address that they didn't before?" Could you offer a few highlights from what you will be discussing in your keynote?

LukeW: In my keynote, I’ll outline how we can look to packaging design, transitions and feedback, content optimization, and content creation tools…

Part two: I'm a believer in learning from other people's mistakes. Could you name some typical web design flaws and usability sins, and name a few examples of sites we can actually learn from?

LukeW: Many of the usability issues we encounter online originate from approaching solutions with a single perspective."    (Continued via Functioning Form)    [Usability Resources]
